Ras Al Khaimah is a city in the United Arab Emirates, located on the northern edge of the Arabian Gulf. It is the capital of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, the seventh largest emirate in the UAE. Ras Al Khaimah is a popular tourist destination, known for its sandy beaches, cultural attractions and proximity to other Gulf cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah. The city has a population of around 250,000 people and is spread over a total area of 1,500 square kilometres. Its economy is largely driven by tourism, as well as manufacturing and real estate.
